The Richmond meeting was once again held at the
Wyndham, Richmond Airport. Fifty Richmond members
gathered to hear well-known industry consultant,
Steve Gaudreau. The meeting was held two days after
the Charlottesville City Council to deny car washes
access to the city water supplies in reaction to
rapidly dropping reseroir levels. Predictably this
was the hot topic of conversation during the social
hour preceding the meeting. Charlottesville operators
Bill Bascom, Jr., Henry Weinschenk and MCA Board
Member Craig Hanson all answered questions before
and after dinner. During the meeting, the MCA also
unveiled it's new web site, www.mcacarwash.org,
so that members could browse the site at their leisure.
After dinner, Steve Gaudreau, delivered a program
in which he shared some of the best practices used
by successful owners, managers, and employees in
the carwash industry.
